Spirit of Polynesia
Spirit of Polynesia began playing shows in the Bay Area in 1979. Since 1980, Spirit of Polynesia has been guided by J. Kimo and Jill Baird. Through music, song and dance, they bring to you the many cultures of Polynesia.
SOP performs at many festivals, corporate events, and Ethnic Dance shows. They perform over 150 engagements a year and travel all over for different events. SOP has won many awards and was awarded a three year grant by the California Arts Council in their effort to preserve traditional Polynesian Pacific dance and music.
